Good Corporate Governance Principles

A briefing for Directors and Executives on the ‘Principles of Good Corporate Governance’ Best Practice Recommendations recently released by the Australian Stock Exchange and the new Australian Standard on Corporate Governance. The emphasis of the briefing is the need to establish a sound management framework, ensuring board reporting is adequate, and the importance of identifying and managing risks. Participants will be briefed on compliance with Australian Standards and provided with a checklist to assess governance in their organisations.

This briefing is for Directors, (and aspiring Directors), Chief Executives, General Managers, and Senior Managers of private companies, public boards, regulatory authorities, and not for profit organisations. No prior knowledge of corporate governance, financial reporting or company law is necessary. Project Management Processes and Techniques

This course covers the essential process, techniques, organisation and leadership aspects of successful project management. Participants will learn practical approaches to scoping, estimating, budgeting, and monitoring projects, and how to identify and manage project risks.
A major emphasis will be working with project sponsors, engaging key stakeholders and managing project team dynamics.

The course is founded on understanding the project lifecycle phases, following sound project management processes, and managing interactions with sponsors, project participants, and team members. Learning is reinforced with practical examples, workshop exercises and group work.
